Two years at the forefront of fleet electrification

Two years ago, the new Leasys was born from the consolidation of Leasys and Free2Move Lease. Starting with a fleet of 828,000 vehicles, we have now reached 906,000 units within two years, moving closer to our target of 1 million vehicles in fleet by 2026.

Two years at the forefront of fleet electrification

From the get-go, we set ourselves some highly ambitious targets, the most ambitious perhaps being our bold electrification strategy: aiming for 50% of our new operating lease contracts to consist of low-emission vehicles by 2026.

Today, we’re well over halfway into this journey, and we’re making incredible progress. And we’re going even further – we are now aiming for our fleet’s share of low-emission vehicles to have tripled by 2026, compared to 2022.

At the heart of our electrification success has been our commitment to customer-centric products and services. We’ve been consistent champions of solutions that make electrification a hassle-free experience for our customers and drivers with innovative solutions such as home chargers and combined fuel, charging and business payment solutions.

We’ve also been bold in embracing key strategic partnerships and collaborating with other organisations, such as Octopus Energy and Allstar. By leveraging our partners’ expertise in charging and energy solutions, Leasys customers enter a rich ecosystem that helps them solve every challenge they might face on their electrification journey. We continue to innovate by launching new services and connectivity solutions, as well as introducing new leasing formulas dedicated to low-emission vehicles or re-leasing used cars, promoting more accessible and sustainable mobility.

Alongside the quality of solutions, a lot of our success in driving electrification comes down to how straightforward we’ve made accessing these solutions for our customers. We’ve been digitalisation champions from the start and solutions for fleet managers and drivers, such as the My-Leasys portal and its app, have been updated to ensure optimal fleet management and allow autonomous access to rental-related services.

A major reason our electrification journey has been so successful is our incredible position within the broader Stellantis family. Stellantis’ industry leadership in electrification means that we have access to an established network of retailers who, critically, possess an electric-oriented mindset and expertise. We also benefit from access to a vast portfolio of products and services that smooth the e-mobility transition for our customers, as part of our signature multi-brand approach.

And it’s also through Stellantis that we have access to a premier line-up of low-emission vehicles that meet the market’s full spectrum of needs. The Stellantis portfolio is one that’s constantly expanding and at the cutting edge. For example, we’ve recently introduced the new Leapmotor brand, meeting an underserved niche in the market for affordable but high-spec vehicles to help bring motorists into the electric world.

In just two years we’ve already shown incredible industry leadership as the voice for electrifying operating leasing. As we work towards achieving our 2026 low-emission vehicle target, we’re already looking well into the future: continuously building out our products, capabilities, and vehicle line-up to make sure we can serve as a one-stop-shop for fleet customers looking to offer a seamless experience to end-users.
